Sherri Shepherd She is an American comedian, actress as well as a TV host and writer, is most well-known for her role as host of the talk show daytime "The View" in addition to her numerous roles on popular comedy shows. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on the 22nd of April in 1967. Her parents are LaVerne as well as Lawrence Shepherd. Her father served as a deacon at the family's church and also worked as an executive in a restaurant and her mother took care of the homes. Shepherd is the oldest out of 3 daughters. As a worker as a secretary in Beverly Hills as a legal secretaries, Shepherd started performing stand-up. Shepherd eventually decided to leave her job in order to explore a career in entertainment after being cast on the sitcom that lasted only a few episodes, "Cleghorne!"
